Stuart Turner, President of Turner Miller Group has announced the promotion of two key employees of the Turner Miller Group, a local community planning firm based out of Suffern, NY. The firm services a number of communities throughout Long Island and the Hudson Valley including the review of development and environmental applications, preparation of community, waterfront, and downtown plans and focused studies on economic development, parking, traffic, and disaster recovery planning. The firm also assists private clients with State Environmental Quality Review and helps them to navigate the complex project review process in New York State.
Max Stach has been made a partner of the firm and promoted to Vice President. Mr. Stach previously held the position of Principal Planner and has been with the firm since 1998. He started his career as a Junior Planner with Turner/Geneslaw, Inc., a predecessor of the Turner Miller Group. Mr. Stach has been involved recently with a number of Comprehensive Planning projects including the Town of Stony Point, the Village of Monroe and is currently assisting the City of Kingston with their Plan. He serves as the consulting planner for the City of Glen Cove and Town of Stony Point. For private clients he helped to prepare the Environmental Impact Statement for the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses and he developed plans for the reuse of the Mid-Orange State Correction Facility in Warwick for a Sustainable Agricultural College and International Food Export Center. Mr. Stach is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
Kristen O'Donnell has been promoted to Principal Planner. Ms. O'Donnell previously held the position of Senior Planner and has been with the firm since 2005. According to Stuart Turner, President of the firm, "Kristen has increasingly impressed in her ability to manage client relationships and provide quality services, especially with our private-sector clients." Recent or ongoing private assignments include Environmental Impact Statements for United Natural Foods, Inc. and Amy's Kitchen. For the public sector, Ms. O'Donnell is also involved in the review of Casino proposals in New Windsor and Woodbury. She is the consulting planner for the Villages of Airmont and Pomona and assists Mr. Turner in Woodbury and Goshen. Ms. O'Donnell received her Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the SUNY-Buffalo in 2005.
